An experienced NICET IV certified Chief Bridge Inspector is needed for the NYSDOT Region 4, I-490 Bridge Replacements (BIN 4443429 & BIN 1048989) over the Erie Canal and Kreag Road in the Town of Perinton, New York. This is anticipated to be a large project with a construction cost estimated to exceed $30 million. Work is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2024 and complete in the Fall of 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee contractors' work to ensure conformance to contract documents
  • Supervise work of other inspectors
  • Address field and design changes as necessary
  • Prepare daily work reports documenting completed work for payment to contractor

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must have a minimum of 20 years of NYSDOT construction inspection experience on bridges.
  • Efficient with the use of Site Manager.
  • Provide a detailed resume highlighting your bridge experience and a minimum of two client references.
