As a Project Surveyor, you will coordinate, provide technical services, and direct survey project team members to ensure that projects are completed as specified and within budgetary and timeline constraints. Reviews projects for compliance with client and company policies and standards. Ensures a smooth interface with other disciplines within the corporation and project team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members including other business units
  • Provide guidance and direction to surveying technicians
  • Prepare Boundary and Topographic survey plans and agreements
  • Perform survey computations and boundary resolution for Boundary and ALTA Surveys, and Topographic Surveys.
  • Prepare Construction Layout and As-Built Surveys, Right-of-Way Surveys, and various other project types

Requirements

  • NY Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or ability to obtain within one year.
  • 5+ years of professional surveying experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Mapping software (Civil 3D, Carlson, inroads, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret design/construction plans
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams
  • Develop project scope and fee estimating
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a current driver’s license in good standing and able to operate company owned vehicles
  • Attention to detail
  • Work independently
